The benefits of honey

Honey is a sweet substance produced by bees from the nectar of the flowers they gather. There are several types. According to some experts, humans have been consuming honey for thousands of years. It has been reported that remains of beeswax over 40,000 years old have even been discovered in a cave in South Africa.  100% natural food, organic honey is notably known to bring a sweet and succulent taste to different foods. But, the virtues of honey for humans are many and varied.

The composition of honey

First you need to know what honey contains. Indeed, there are mainly carbohydrates (fructose and glucose), about 80%. It also contains the water (no more than 18%). In addition to these components, honey contains minerals and trace elements (calcium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, magnesium, iron and zinc) and vitamins (B2, B3, B9 and C).
